Hours of Operation 8am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday

The Field Health/Outreach Department provides a variety of services to the Hoopa Valley and surrounding communities. These services are outreach services and provided within the community. It is the goal of the department to provide the best services to the community. This department provides Health Screenings for; Blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol and are screened at the following locations: Senior Nutrition Center, Hoopa Valley Shopping Center and the Annual Health Fair. Anita Bussell and Deb Romero host a radio show every Friday at 9:30am on KIDE 91.3. A wide range of health issues are discussed on the show, listeners are encouraged to call in and ask questions and share comments.

HEALTH EDUCATION CLASSES

Water Exercise: T-TH 11am-Noon /Anita Bussell
Healthy Cooking: Thursdays 11am – 2pm / Mia Brown
Childbirth Classes: Tuesdays 6pm - 8pm @ Church of the Mountains
Diabetes Support Group: Every fourth Thursday of month 6pm - 7:30pm / Debbie Romero

HOME VISITS:
All Field Health/Outreach department staff makes home visits. Deb Romero, FNP can make house calls to community members who are not able to come into the clinic to see the healthcare provider. Home visit services include medication assistance evaluation for home delivered meals, home consultation, medical reviews, and wound care, and health screening.
