The
Hoopa Valley Tribal Council is comprised of 7 elected Councilpeople
and one elected Chairperson.
Of the 7 councilpeople, one is elected by the council to represent them
as the Vice-Chairperson.
The 7 elected officials are representatives of the 7 fields or districts
that correspond to Traditional
Village Sites and make up the Hoopa Valley.

The
Hoopa Valley Tribal General Election was held on Tuesday, June 17th, 2008 at the Hoopa Tribal Council
Chambers. There are three seats up for election, (CAMPBELL FIELD DISTRICT, MESKET FIELD DISTRICT & NORTON FIELD DISTRICT). For more information call (530) 625-4211 ext.132.
There were #1397 members of the Hoopa Valley Tribe who were qualified to vote in this election. There was a total of #482 who voted at the polls and a total of #161 who voted absentee, for a combined total of #643 members who voted this election
