Minimum Requirements: Must be 22 years of age or older. Must have High School Diploma or equivalent or able to obtain within 90 days of employment. Must have a Valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable. Must be First Aid/CPR Certified or willing to obtain certification. Must pass criminal background check.

BIOLOGIST I – LION/FISHER | Hoopa Forestry Department
Regular – Full-Time – $15.00-$16.00/hour
Minimum Requirements: Must have a B.S. Degree in (Natural Resources, Wildlife, Forestry or related field) plus a minimum of one (1) year of wildlife experience or ecological experience. Experience in the use of computers, especially MS Access database, Excel and ArcMap. Must have a Valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable.

Minimum Requirements: AA Degree from a two-year college; and/or three (3) years of experience in administrative or office managerial duties. Must have a Valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable.

Temporary – Full-Time – $554.00 bi-weekly stipend
Minimum Requirements: Must be a US Citizen. Must be 18 years or 17 with High School Diploma or G.E.D. Must be able to pass criminal history background check.

RECREATION COORDINATOR | Hoopa Recreation Department
Regular – Full-Time – $14.00/hour
DUTIES: Responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating programs for the community as well as assisting the Recreation Director.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in a closely related field (Administrative or Recreation). Two (2) years of recent experience working in a Recreation setting. Must have a valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable. Subject to a full background check and fingerprints according to Title 30-A.

RECREATION/YOUTH COORDINATOR ASSISTANT | Hoopa Recreation Department
Regular – Full-Time – $12.50/hour
DUTIES: Assists both the Recreation and Youth Coordinators in developing, implementing, and evaluating programs for the community.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Associate’s Degree from an accredited college in a closely related field (Administrative or Recreation). Two (2) years of recent experience working in a Recreation setting. Must have a valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable. Subject to a full background check including fingerprints according to Title 30-A.

SERGEANT (2 positions) | Hoopa Tribal Police Department
Regular – Full-Time – $25.00-$28.00/hour
DUTIES: Under general supervision of the Chief of Police or his authorized designee shall perform a wide variety of peace officer duties involving the protection of life and property; enforcement of applicable laws and ordinances of the Hoopa Valley Tribe, as authorized.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have High School Diploma or GED; three (3) years of related experience and/or training. Must possess a valid P.O.S.T Law Enforcement Academy or Indian Police Academy Certificate. Must possess a P.O.S.T. Intermediate Certification or completion of a P.O.S.T Supervisory Course; and/or the Bureau of Indian Affairs Supervisory Enforcement Officer Course. Must pass a full law enforcement background investigation in compliance with P.O.S.T. Standards and/or as required by the Federal Police Officer Standard; 25 C.F.R. 12 Indian Country Law Enforcement, 18 U.S.C. 922, Gun Control Act, Executive Order 12968, Adjudicative Guideline, Public Law 101-630; Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act, 25 C.F.R. 63 – Implementation of Public Law 101-630, Crime Control Act – Subchapter V-Child Care Worker, Employee Background Checks; Public Law 101-647, which shall include a criminal history check, including fingerprints. Valid CA Driver’s License and insurable.

HOOPA EDUCATION BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Three (3) vacancies to be filled by enrolled members of the Hoopa Valley Tribe. Qualifications of Directors: Individuals with differing expertise in such areas as: (a) Parents who have a child/children enrolled in Early Childhood programs, grades K-12, or other school age programs, and who are actively involved in education; (b) A student who is enrolled in a vocational/technical program, college, or university and who is in good standing; (c) Individuals who may be a classroom teacher, program coordinator or manager, have extensive experience serving on parent committee/boards, provide services to education programs, actively involved in the field of education, and are recognized for their expertise in and understanding education; (d) Members must be 18 years of age or older and have completed High School. Terms: Three (3) yrs. DEADLINE TO APPLY: OPEN UNTIL FILLED

HOOPA VALLEY PUBLIC UTITLIES DISTRICT BOARD OF DIRECTORS
One vacancy (2-year) to be filled by Tribal Council appointment from enrolled members of the Hoopa Valley Tribe. Directors shall be appointed by the HVT Council subject to such screening procedures set forth attempting to secure representatives of diverse interests on the Reservation and shall be guided by the best interests of the Tribe. All members are required to be bondable. All members shall perform their respective duties prescribed by the HVPUD By-Laws. Terms: Two (2) years. DEADLINE TO APPLY: OPEN UNTIL FILLED
