EXECUTIVE SECRETARY | Administration Department
Full-Time, Constitutional Political Appointment, Salary: DOQ.
DUTIES: Provides secretarial support services to members of the Tribal Council individually and to the Tribal Council as the governing body of the Hoopa Valley Tribe.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; and at least two (2) years’ experience and/or training. Must possess strong writing skills including ability to paraphrase and summarize, needed for transcribing meeting minutes (skills testing required). Must have a Valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable.

FISHERIES TECHNICIAN I | Hoopa Fisheries Department
Regular, F/T. Salary: $13.20-$17.01 DOQ/DOE
DUTIES: Employee will perform various duties for the Fisheries Department, including gathering basic data on fish in harvest, collecting and tagging of juvenile fish, assisting with habitat/spawning surveys, sediment sampling, and other duties.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Must possess a Valid California Driver’s License and be insurable.

FISHERIES BIOLOGIST I | Hoopa Fisheries Department
Regular, F/T. Salary: GS9-10 $51,054-$73,095 DOQ/Experience
DUTIES: Employee will perform Employee will manage the acquisition, maintenance, and use of equipment and supplies. Study basic principles of fish populations, their origins, relationship, development, anatomy, and functions. Assist in the design and implementation of biological studies. Manage a total of 2-3 Senior Technicians and 6-10 Junior Technicians. Collaborates in field infield investigations and analysis with other tribal, state and federal agencies.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must possess a Bachelor of Science degree in fisheries biology or related field; and a minimum of three years’ experience in fisheries management. Minimum three years’ experience implementing and supervising field projects and analysis of results. Two years’ experience may be substituted with a Master’s of Science degree in fisheries biology or related field. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Must possess a Valid California Driver’s License and be insurable. Application MUST be job specific for Fisheries Biologist I position.

SENIOR FISHERIES HYDROLOGIST | Hoopa Fisheries Department
Regular, Full-Time, Salary: $61,773.00-$96,240.00/year DOE
DUTIES: Provides interdisciplinary expertise in physical and biological sciences. Conducts technical policy analyses, NEPA analyses, and is the project manager for a variety of aquatic monitoring and restoration projects.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Master’s Degree (M.S.) or equivalent in Watershed Management, Hydrology or Geology plus three (3) years related experience and/or training; OR a Bachelor’s Degree (B.S.) in same disciplines plus five (5) years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Training and senior-level experience in application of in stream flow science is highly desired. Must have valid CDL and be insurable.

STORE MANAGER | Hoopa Shopping Center
Regular, Full-Time, Salary: DOE
DUTIES: Effectively develops and directs implementation of strategies which achieve corporate goals. Effectively supervises, directs and manages all phases of the store operations. Achieves the Hoopa Shopping Center’s goals and objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have a minimum of 2-3 years in a management position. Must have 7-10 years in the Grocery Store Business. Must have prior supervisory experience. Must have a current Food Handlers certificate. English language proficiency, both speaking and reading.
