The TERO Office was moved under the Human Resource Office and is now located in the Human Resource /Insurance/TERO building located at 71 Willow Street in Hoopa, CA.

Listed below are forms for your use and a paragraph explaining what each form is to be used for:

Authorization for Release Of Information – Tribal Verification (PDF Format, 41K)

TERO Ordinance as amended May 17, 2012 (PDF Format, 5.4MB) – The Hoopa Valley Tribal Council established the TERO Ordinance for contractors and sub-contractors doing business on the Hoopa Indian Reservation. This is written notice to all employers/businesses/contractors and its sub-contractors of its requirements while doing business within the exterior boundaries on the Hoopa Indian Reservation. Indian Preference requirements and a TERO tax fee is covered in this Ordinance.

TERO -01 FORM – All employers/contractors and/or its sub-contractors must complete this form prior to commencement of work on the Hoopa Indian Reservation.

TERO HIGHWAY CONSTRUCTION PERMIT (TCHP) – This form was created specifically for CALTRANS Contractors and its sub-contractors doing business on the Hoopa Indian Reservation. This form must be completed and submitted to CALTRANS with it bid submission.

TERO SKILLSBANK APPLICATION – TERO maintains a Skillsbank for applicants who are looking for temporary work. TERO refers applicants pursuant to the TERO Ordinance to Tribal Departments who are looking for emergency temporary hires until their positions can be advertised and hired. Referrals are also given to contractors/employers doing business on the Hoopa Indian Reservation.

Indian Preference will be given pursuant to the TERO Ordinance. If you are a other Indian registering with TERO, it is your responsibility to submit verification of your enrollment in a Federally Recognized Tribe. If you are married to a Hoopa Tribal Member, then you must provide proof of your marriage to be afforded the second level preference as a Indian Spouse of a Hoopa Tribal Member. If you are unable to provide proof of your enrollment in a federally recognized tribe you can come to the TERO Office and sign a Authorization for Release of Information and TERO can fax it to your tribe to obtain the verification on your behalf and/or you can call your tribal enrollment and have them fax or email your verification of enrollment.

Contractor’s Qualification Questionnaire for Native American Contractors registering their business (PDF Format, 141K) – This form is used for companies who want to register their business with the TERO Contractor’s List for referrals to Tribal Departments and/or others who may be looking for a contractor and/or sub-contractors to complete projects they need done. They will advertise their jobs/projects and/or in a emergent situation contact three companies to submit a bid for the project. TERO is usually contacted by the Tribal Department and/or private employers/residence for a listing of available contractors to complete a job they need done. All contractor’s should be registered with TERO in order for us to refer your company out to others.

CONTRACTOR’S QUALIFICATION QUESTIONNAIRE FOR NON-INDIAN CONTRACTORS REGISTERING THEIR BUSINESS – This form is used for companies who want to register their business with the TERO Contractor’s List for referrals to Tribal Departments and/or others who may be looking for a contractor and/or sub-contractors to complete projects they need done. They will advertise their jobs/projects and/or in a emergent situation contact three companies to submit a bid for the project. TERO is usually contacted by the Tribal Department and/or private employers/residence for a listing of available contractors to complete a job they need done. All contractor’s should be registered with TERO in order for us to refer your company out to others.

PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENTS – This form was created for partners to submit along with their bids for jobs. It spells out the ratio of partnership for the job.

TERO MONTHLY CALENDAR OF EVENTS FOR TRAINING – This calendar shows upcoming training for each month and it will be subject to change. All training will require you to register prior to the training as there will be a certain number of slots for each session. Should a class be full, and no other date has been scheduled, you may be put on standby for the training in the event that someone does not show up. If it is a training that requires payment for the training, you may be required to pay for the cost of the class. TERO can provide you with the information. If your tribe has a TERO, you may contact that TERO to see if they can assist you in payment of the training fee. TANF will pay for the class if you are a TANF Client. You will need to register with Manuel Sanchez, TANF Employment and Training Coordinator and/or your TANF Caseworker can assist you in registering.

If there is training you would like to see brought to the Hoopa Area, please contact TERO and we will advertise to see if there is enough interest to bring the class locally.
